AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 36-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWAI CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN
SECTION 38-1006 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWAI
AND REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,
Iowa, adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ages, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of
the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner
authorized by Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Block 8 of Black's 2nd Addition; Block 7 of Black's
3rd Addition, except Lots 14 and 151 Block 6 of Black's
3rd Addition, between Sherman Avenue and Walnut Avenue,
from South 2nd Street to South 3rd Street,
is transferred from the "C-2" District (General Commercial) to
the "R-3" District (Multiple Family Dwelling) and shall be
governed by all the provisions and regulations pertaining to
the "R-3" District (Multiple Family Dwelling) .
Section 2. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of such
conflict.
Section 3. This ordinance is in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication according to law.
Adopted this 19th day of a 1971.
