ORDINANCE NO. 2356
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER #33 CITED AS "THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE"
OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; ENACTING NEW
SECTIONS TO. BE NUMBERED 33-11050 . 22 AND 33-11084 DESIGNATING THE
INTERSECTION AT HAZEL AVENUE AND SECOND STREET, SOUTH, AS A
"SPECIAL STOP INTERSECTION AND AS A "SCHOOL STOP" FOR TRAFFIC
ON HAZEL AVENUE; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES
IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
IT IS ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA:
Section 1. New sections to be numbered 33-11050 . 22 and
33-1108.4 are hereby added to Chapter #33 of the Municipal Code
of the. City of Ames, Iowa, as follows :
Sec. 33-1105.0. 22. Hazel Avenue and Second Street,
South.
The intersection of Hazel Avenue and Second Street,
South, is hereby designated as a "Special Stop
Intersection" . Traffic approaching this intersection
on Second Street, South, shall stop before entering
the intersection.
Sec.. 33-11084. Hazel Avenue at Second Street,
South.
Hazel Avenue at the Second Street, South, intersection
is designated as a "School Stop" .
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance is in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.
