AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL �60NING MAP Or` THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN
SECTION 38-1006 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA;
AND REPEALING ANY AND ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,
Iowa, adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of
the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner
authorized by Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
'The East 97 rods of that part of the W2 of fractional
Section 6, Township 83 N, Range 23 W of the 5th P.M. , Story
County, Iowa, lying North of the C & NW Railroad and West
of the West right-of-way line of Interstate #35; except
the North 350 feet of the East 1560.5 feet thereof more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the NW corner of the East 97 rods of the
Wh of fractional Section 6, Township 83 N, Range 23 W
of the 5th P.M. , Story County, Iowa; thence S 00 06' W,
105.0 feet to the point of beginning; thence East 40.0
feet; thence S 00 06 ' W, 245.0 feet; thence East 1009.9
feet to the West right-of-way line of Interstate #35;
thence S 330 40 ' 30" E along the said R,O.W. line a
distance of 48.75 feet; thence S 190 00 50" E along
said R.O.W. , 401.8 feet; thence S 10 49 ' 30" W along said
R.O.W. 223.45 feet; thence S 50 03 ' 10" W along said
R.O.W. , 836.6 feet to the North right-of-way line of the
Chicago and Northwestern Railroad; thence S 820 40 ' 55"
W along said R.O.W. line a distnnce of 1261.0 feet to the
West line of the East 97 rods of the W1-2 fractional Section
6, Township 83 N, Range 23 W; thence N 00 06 ' E along said
West line a distance of 2054.9 feet to the point of
beginning
is transferred from the "A-1" District (Agricultural) to the
"'I-1" District (Light Industry) and shall be governed by all
the provisions and regulations pertaining to the "I-1" District
(Light Industry) .
Section 2. All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance is in full force and effect
s, from and after its adoption and publication according to law.

City Clerk of the City of Ames , Iowa, do hereby certify that
the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 2355 is a true and exact
copy of said Ordinance, and that said Ordinance was adopted
by the City Council at a regular meeting thereof on the 20th
day of October, 1970.
