PUBLIC NOTICE
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that the City Council of the City
of Ames, Iowa, proposes to amend the Official Zoning Map of
the City of Ames, Iowa, by changing the boundaries of the distric ::3
established and shown on said map as provided in Section 30-1006
of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, thereby
transferring the following described property:
Lot 6, Teagarden's Third Subdivision, from "R-l" District
(Single Family Dwelling) to "R-2" District (Two Family
Dwelling) and shall be governed by all the provisions
and regulations pertaining to the "R-2" District (Two
Family Dwelling) . (The property located at the SE
corner of Jewell Drive and opal Drive) .
Commencing at a point fifty feet East of -the centerline
of U.S. Highway 69 on. the North line in the NW Quarter,
NE Quarter, Section 230 Township 63 North, Range 24;
thence East 150 feet along the North line of -fuarter,
thence South at right angles 100 feet, thence "',j'est along the
North line of Jewell Street, City of Ames, Iowa, to a
point fifty feet East of center of U.S. Highway 69,
thence North along said Highway 69, 100 feet more or
less to the point of beginning, from "R-l" District
(Single Family Dwelling) to District (office and
Shop) and shall be governed by all the provisions and
regulations pertaining to tl-.-!!i ""!-V' District (office
and Shop) . (The property at the NE corner of
V.S. Highway 69 and Jewell Drive) .
Thirty (30) and the South twenty-five feet (25) of
Lot Twenty-nine (29) and the West sixteen and three-
fourths (16-3/4) feet of the South seventy (70) feet of
Lot twenty-eight (28) , and the South forty-five (45)
feet of the East twenty (20) feet of Lot Twenty-eight
(28) , al-Li in Block Three (3) of 2�uditor's Re-plat of
Blocks "'.three (3) , Four (4) , and Five (5) of Beardshear's
Addition and Walter's Subdivision of the NE, Quarter of
the 1414 Quarter of Section Nine (9) , Township Eighty-three
0'3) North, Range Twenty-four (24) , West of the 5th P.M.,
Iowa, now included in and forming a part of the City of
Ames, Iowa. (The property located at 2513 Hunt Street) .
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that proposed ordinances incorpora-
ting such changes are now on file in the office of the City
Clerk, Ames, Iowa, and that a public hearing on the adoption of
said ordinances will be held before the City Council of Ames,
Iowa, in the Council Chambers, City Hall, Ames, Iowa# at- 7:30
P.M., CST, on the 25th day of February, 1969. Any interested
persons may appear for or against these proposed ordinances.
