AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 33 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE,
CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 33-10005 AND SECTION
33-10008 THEREOF, AND ADDING A NEW SECTION TO BE NUMBERED
33-10005 DESIGNATING THE ALLEY BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND THE
CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT PARKING LOT TO BE "ONE-WAY"; REPEALING
ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH;
AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
IT IS ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA:
Section 1. Sections 33-10005 and 33-10008 of the Municip 1
Code of the City of Ames , Iowa, are hereby repealed.
Section 2 . A new section to be numbered 33-10005 is
hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City of Ames , Iowa,
and is as follows :
Sec. 33-10005 . Alley south of Blocks 13 , 14, and 15 .
"The alley immediately south of Blocks 13 , 14 , and 15
original town of Ames , being the alley between Main
street and the Central Business District Parking Lot
from Clark Avenue to Duff Avenue is hereby designated
as 'one-way ' and it is unlawful to enter except from
the east. "
Section 3 . All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed.
Section 4 . This ordinance is in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication according to law.
