HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 33 of Municipal Code; Prohibiting Parking ORDINANCE NO. 2231 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 33 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 33-13053 , AND ADDING A NEW SECTION TO BE NUMBERED 33-13053, DESIGNATING STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9:00 A.M. AND 5 :00 P.M. EXCEPT SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS ; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. IT IS ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA: Section 1. Section 33-13053 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames , Iowa, as hitherto existing, is repealed. Section 2 . A new section to be numbered 33-13053 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames , Iowa, is hereby added and is as follows : Sec 33-13053 .. Parking prohibited, 9:00 A.M. to 5 :00 P.M. Sec. 33-13053 . 1. Parking is prohibited at all times between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 5 :00 P.M. on all days of the week except Sundays and holidays on Sixth Street, on the North side of Sixth Street from Grand Avenue to Clark Avenue , Section 3 . All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed. Section 4 . This ordinance is in full force and effect from and after its publication according to law.
