ORDINANCE NO. 2219
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, ADOPTED BY SECTION 38-1005 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA; CHANGING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
DISTRICTS ESTABLISHED AND SHOWN ON SAID MAP AS PROVIDED IN
SECTION 38-1006 OF_,THE .MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA;
AND REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES AND PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT
HERL-WI TH.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES,
IOWA:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of Ames,
Iowa, adopted by Section 38-1005 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa, is amended by changing the boundaries of
the districts established and shown on said Map in the manner
authorized by Section 38-1006 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Ames, Iowa, as follows :
Commencing at the SE corner of the NE4, NE4, Section
34, Township 84 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P.M. ,
Story County, Iowa; thence South 890 12 ' West along the
South line of said NE4, NE4, 794.8 feet to the East
line of Ferndale Avenue; thence North 00 5 ' East along
the East line of Ferndale Avenue 200.0 feet to the
point of beginning; thence North 00 5 ' East 1128.8 feet;
thence North 890 21 ' East, along the North line of said
NE4, NE4, 733 .0 feet, to the West line of Grand
Avenue; thence South along the West line of Grand Avenue,
471.6 feet; thence South 890 12 ' West 584.45 feet;
thence South 655.0 feet, thence South 890 12 ' West
150.4 feet to the point of beginning are transferred
from "R-3 District (Multiple Family Dwelling) " to
"C-5 District (Planned Shopping Center) " and are governed
by the provisions and regulations pertaining to the
"C-5 District (Planned Shopping Center) ".
Section 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance is in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication according to law.
Passed this 21st day of November 1967.

above and foregoing Ordinance No. 2219 is a true and exact copy
of said ordinance and that said ordinance was adopted by the
City Council at a regular meeting thereof on the 21st day of
1967 .
