Agency is updating its legislator database with information going
back to the 1 st Iowa General Assembly of 1846. To accomplish
this task, legislators' biographies, photographs and legislative
district maps were retrieved from numerous sources. All but one
of the Iowa legislative district plans in effect since 1846 have

system software. We are asking for your help so that we may

FISCAL SERVICES For those two years, fourteen cities were divided into multiple

1971 Iowa Code section 41.4 describes each representative
district in these cities using the ward or precinct number only. In
COMPUTER SERVICES order to map the legislative districts, our office needs an actual

these legislative districts were created. 1971 Iowa Code section
41.2 states that for the city of Ames, the wards or precincts used
ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES for the legislative districts were established by ordinance 2173,
TIMOTHY C.FALLER adopted February 7, 1967. If possible, could you please mail or
email a copy of this ordinance to me. If by chance there are any
maps that accompany the ordinance, I'd appreciate copies of
those as well.
