ORDINANCE NO. 2123
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 75 ON BOWLING ALLEYS OF THE
MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING
SECTION 75-1 THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF
BOWLING ALLEY LICENSES EXCEPT BOWLING ALLEYS HOLDING A
VALID RESTAURANT LICENSE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA:
Section 1. That Section 75-1 of Chapter 75 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed, and the follow-
ing be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section
75-1 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
75-1. License Required. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm,
Corporation, or unincorporated association to operate a bowling alley
in the City of Ames unless a license is first obtained as provided in
this chapter. Provided, however, that the license requirements of
this Chapter shall not apply to any bowling alley issued a valid res-
taurant license under Chapter 60 of this Code.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinances are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
