AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NUMBER 1056 OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, BY PROVIDING FOR CONTROLLED ACCESS FACILITIES ON
GRAND AVENUE IN THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COJNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA:
Section 1. That Section 4 of Ordinance # 1056 of the City of Ames,
Iowa and Schedule II attached thereto and made a part thereof, be and the sam
are hereby amended by declaring "Grand Avenue from Lincoln Way to a point
400 feet North of 28th Street" to be a controlled-access facility. Access is
hereby regulated and restricted on such controlled-access facility, and no
person shall have any right to ingress or egress to, from or across such con-
trolled-access facility to or from abutting lands, except at such designated
points, and upon such terms and conditions as may be specifically authorized
by the City Council and such other highway authority as may have jurisdiction
and controll over such facility.
Section 2. That all other provisions of Ordinance #1056 of the City
of Ames, Iowa, be and the same are hereby declared to be applicable to the
Street designated in Section 1. hereof.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
