ORDINANCE NO. 2089
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42-3 (b) and 42-4 OF THE MUNI-
CIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA BY REZONING CERTAIN
LAND FROM "B" DISTRICT (Multiple residence) TO "D" DISTRICT
(Business and Light Industry)
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA:
Section 1. That Sections 42-3 (b) and 42-4 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Ames, Iowa and the official zoning map therein referred to
are hereby amended to rezone from a "B" District (Multiple Residence) to
"D" District (Business and Light Industry) land described as follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3 and the North 50 feet of Lot 4, all in Greer's
Subdivision of Lot 24 of Parker's Addition to the City of
Ames, and all that part of the North 208 feet of Lot 24,
lying South and East of the right of way of the Fort Dodge,
Des Moines and Southern Railway, all in Parker's Addition
to Ames, Iowa; also that portion of the South Half of the
said railroad lying adjacent to the above described real
estate.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisi-ns of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed this 3rd day of August 1965.

passage of ordinances be suspended the second and third readings
be omitted and Ordinance No. 2089 be placed for final passage.
