ORDINANCE NO. 2084
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 2 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE
CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING Section 2-21 THEREOF AND
ENACTING A NEW SECTION 2-21 THEREOF AND PROVIDING FOR THE
FILING OF BILLS AND CLAIMS WITH THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA:
Section 1. That Section 2-21 of Chapter 2 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following
be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 2-21
of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa.
2-21 BILLS AND CLAIMS. All bills and claims shall be filed with
the Director of Finance on the standard claim form of the City.
Claims for bills filed later than 5:00 P. M. on the day prior to the
day of the regular meeting of the Council may not be checked and
audited until the following regular meeting of the Council.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
