HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 42 of Municipal Code, Providing for Definition of Public Place ORDINANCE NO. 2052 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 42 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 42-2. 66 THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR A DEFINITION OF PUBLIC PLACE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 42-2, 66 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 42-2. 66 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 42-2. 66 Place, Public. An open or unoccupied space 20 feet or more in width which is permanently dedicated to the public for the purpose of access to abutting property, but not including a street or alley, nor designed for vehicular traffic. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 20th day of October 1964 W. J dan, City Clerk Pearle P.
