Home My WebLink About~Master - Amending Chapter 16 of Municipal Code, Providing for Hospital Administrator ORDINANCE NO. 2039 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 16 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 16-9 THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF A HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR BY THE BOARD OF HOSPITAL TRUSTEES. Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 16-9 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 16-9 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 16-9 Administrator. The board of trustees shall, appoint a hospital administrator who shall be directing head of all personnel employed by the hospital, and shall have full charge of the management and control of the hospital in accordance with the policies as established by the board of trustees. He shall be appointed and hold office by a majority vote of the members of the board of trustees. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 28th day of July 1964. 1VI. W. rdan, City Clerk Pearle P.
