AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42-3(b) and 42-4 OF THE MUNICIPA
CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BT ZONING RECENTLY ANNEXED
LAND AS "D" DISTRICT (BUSINESS AND LIGHT INDUSTRY).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS:

Section 1. That Sections 42-3(b) and 42-3 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Ames, Iowa, and the official zoning map therein referred to are
hereby amended to include land recently annexed in "D" District (business
and light industry). Land described as follows:
The Northeast Quarter (NE-1) of the Northeast Quarter (NE4) of
Section 12, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P. M.,
Story County, Iowa, and the North 1322. 1 feet of Lot 27, except the
West 400 feet thereof, in Woodland Acres, a plat of the West Half (W2)
of the Northeast Quarter (NE-1) of Section 12, Township 83 North, Range
24 West of the 5th P. M., Story County, Iowa; except the North 349. 9
feet from all of the above.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Moved by Judge and Seconded by Armstrong Ordinance No. 2038 be
passed on its second reading.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: None
Moved by Eschbach and seconded by Fisher the rules governing the
passage of ordinances be suspended the third reading be omitted
and Ordinance No. 2038 be placed for final passage.
Moved by Fisher and seconded by Bledsoe Ordinance No. 2038 do
now pass.
