HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code, Prohibiting Parking on Certain Streets ORDINANCE NO. 2033 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SUB-SECTIONS (21) (a) AND (42) OF SECTION 25-105. 17 THEREOF, AND DESIGNATING STREET WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Sub-sections(21)(a) and (42) of Section 25-105. 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same are hereby repealed and the following enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Sections 25-105. 17 (21)(a) and 25-105. 17 (42) of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 25-105. 17 Parking is hereby prohibited at all times, except as may be otherwise provided in the sub-paragraphs following on the streets of the City of Ames, Iowa as follows: (21)(a) Hayward Avenue on the East side from Knapp Street to Storm Street and on the West side for a distance of 65 feet North of the intersection with Hunt Street. (42) Sheldon Avenue on the East side from Lincoln Way to Hyland Avenue, and on the West side of Sheldon Avenue from the North line of Lincoln Way North for a distance of 350 feet; South Sheldon Avenue on the West side from Lincoln Way to the South line of Knapp Street, and on the East side of South Sheldon Avenue from Lincoln Way to the South line of Arbor Street. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 5th day of May 1964. M W. Jordoda, City Clerk Pearle P.
