AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42-3(b) and 42-4 of the MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY RE-ZONING CERTAIN LAND
FROM "A" DISTRICT (RESIDENCE) TO "C-3" DISTRICT (PLANNED
SHOPPING).
Be It Ordained By The City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa,
as follows:
Section 1. That sections 42-3(b) and 42-4 of the Municipal Code of
the City of Ames, Iowa and the official zoning map therein referred to are
hereby amended to rezone from an "A" District (Residence), to"C-3"
District (Planned Shopping), land described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the Northeast Quarter
of the Northeast Quarter (NE-1/4 NE-1/4) of Section 34,
Township 84 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P. M. ,
Story County, Iowa, thence South 890 391 30" West 329. 45
feet along the South line of said Northeast Quarter,
Northeast Quarter, thence North 00 24' 30" East 200
feet, thence South 890 39' 30" West 315 feet, thence
North 00 24' 30'' East 655 feet, thence North 890 391 30"
East 644. 45 feet, thence South 00 24' 30" West 855 feet
along the East line of said Northeast Quarter, Northeast
Quarter to the point of beginning.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.

passage of ordinances be suppended, the second reading be omitted
and the ordinance be passed on its second reading.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: Pasley.
