AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNI CIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND PROHIBI TING "U" TURNS AT CERTAI N
INTERSECTIONS ON LINCOLN WAY.
Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 25-34 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby amended to add the following sub-
sections thereto, to be known as Sections 25-34. 15 through 25-34. 20 of the
Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
25-34. 15. "U" Turns are Prohibited Within the Limits
of the Intersection of Lincoln Way and Beach Avenue.
25-34. 16. "U" Turns are Prohibited Within the Limits
of the Intersection of Lincoln Way and Knoll Road.
25-34. 17. "U" Turns are Prohibited Within the Limits
of the Intersection of Lincoln Way and Ash Avenue.
25-34. 18. "U" Turns are Prohibited Within the Limits
of the Intersection of Lincoln Way and Lynn Avenue.
25-34. 19. "U" Turns are Prohibited Within the Limits
of the Intersection of Lincoln Way and Welch Avenue.
25-34. 20. "U" Turns are Prohibited Within the Limits
of the Intersection of.Lincoln Way and Hayward Avenue.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. THis ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Moved by Eschbach and seconded by Bledsoe Ordinance No. 1099 be
passed on its first reading.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: Fisher
Moved by Bledsoe and seconded by Eschbach the rules governing the
passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings
be omitted and Ordinance No. 1099 be placed for final passage.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: Fisher
Moved by Judge and seconded by Brouhard Ordinance No. 1099 do now
pass.

Mayor DeHart declared Ordinance No. 1099 duly adopted.
I, M. W. Jordan, City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, do hereby
certify that Ordinance No. 1099 was duly and properly passed by
the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, at its meeting on the
15th day of October, 1963, and published in the Ames Daily Tribun
on the 24th day of October, 1963.
