'TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED That the City Council of the City
of Ames, Iowa, proposes that Ordinance No. 937 of the City of Ames, Iowa,
be amended to include in "A" District (Residence), the following described
land recently annexed to the City of Ames, Iowa:
Beginning at a point which is 225 feet west of the South-
east corner of the 'Nest Half of the Southwest Quarter
of Section 36, Township 84 North, Range 24 West of the
5th P. M. , Iowa; starting at this point of beginning, thence
North parallel to the east line of the West Half of the
Southwest Quarter of said Section 36 977 feet to a point
in the Skunk River, thence N 170 49' W. 223. 3 feet, thence
N 360 06' E. 505. 1 feet to a point on the east line of the
East Half of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 36
which is 255. 4 feet North of the center of the Southwest
i Quarter of said Section 36, thence northerly along the
east line of the Northwest quarter of the Southwest
Quarter of said Section 36 a distance of 88. 6 feet, thence
westerly along a line parallel to and 344 feet northerly
from the south line of the Northwest quarter of the
Southwest Quarter of said Section 36 a distance of 1323. 5
feet to a point on the west line of the Northwest Quarter
of the Southwest Quarter of said ,Section 36, thence southerly
along the west line of said Section 36 to the southwest corner
of said Section 36, thence easterly 1096. 1 feet to the point
of beginning, except the south 68 feet thereof.
YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the proposed ordinance in-
corporating such change is now on file in the office of the City Clerk,
Ames, Iowa, and a hearing on the proposed adoption of said ordinance will
be held before the City Council in the Council Chambers in the City Hall,
Ames, Iowa, at 8:00 o'clock P. iA. on the 15th day of October, 1963. Any
interested parties are invited to appear for or against this proposed ordinance.
