MAR 2 1979 F _ s ? . 50 J %MIA L.POTTER,Reorder ORDINANCE NO. 1095 �� R e Qec�da�t � ► c e AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF TORONTO STREET IN THE ' C CITY OF AMES, IOWA, and THE NORTH-SOUTH ALLEY IN BLOCK TWO, ORIG INAL TOWN OF ONTARIO, STORY COUNTY, IOWA. Be It Ordained By The City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That the following street and alley in the Original Town of Ontario, Story County, Iowa, more particularly described as follows: (a) Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 10, Block 2, original town of Ontario, Story County, Iowa, thence North 60 feet, thence East parallel to the North line of said Lot 10 100 feet, thence South 60 feet to the Northeast corner of said Lot 10, thence West along the North line of said Lot 10 100 feet to the place of beginning, being a portion of Toronto Street in Ames, Iowa. (b) The North-South Alley in Block 2, Original Town of Ontario, Story County, Iowa, now located in the City of Ames, Iowa, be and the same are hereby vacated as public streets and alleys. Section 2. That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the City of Ames, Iowa a quit claim deed to parcel (a) described above to Gertrude H. Johnson, the abutting property owner, and they are hereby authorized and directed to execute in behalf of the City of Ames , Iowa quit claim deeds to parcel (b) described above to the abutting property owners thereon. Section 3. That the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to make a certified copy of this ordinance and attach the same to the said deeds. Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 1st day of October 1963. M. W. Jord ity Clerk Pearle P.
