ORDINANCE NO. Zv 931
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF A.MES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-78 THERECF ;
AND PROHIBITING THE LOADING AND UNLOADING OF TRUCKS AND
DRAYS ON MAIN STREET AND LINCOLN WAY IN THE CITY OF AMES, IOW A.
Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 25-78 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following be and
the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Section 25-78 of
the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
2 5-7 8. Trucks and Drays Loading and Unloading. From
eight (8) o'clock A. M. to ten (10) o'clock P. M. upon Main Street
between Duff Avenue and Clark Avenue and upon Lincoln Way
between Stanton Avenue and Hayward Avenue trucks and drays
are prohibited from loading and unloading freight, goods and
merchandise at all places, stores and buildings where it is
possible to perform such work in the adjacent alley.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.

passed on its first reading.

Moved by Eschbach and seconded by Judge the rules governing the
passage of ordinances be suspended the second and third readings
be omitted and Ordinance No. 1093 be placed on its final passage.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: None
Moved by Bledsoe and seconded by Fisher Ordinance No. 1093 6o now
pass.

Mayor DeHart declared Ordinance No. 1093 duly passed.

certify that ordinance No. 1093 was duly and properly passed by
the City Council at its meeting on the 17th day of September,
1963 and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the 28th day of
September, 1963 .
