HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code (Parking) ORDINANCE NO. 1081 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SUB-SECTION (22) OF SECTION 25-105. 17 THEREOF, AND DESIGNATING STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA., AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Sub-Section (22) of Section 25-105. 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following enacted in lieu thereof, to be known as Section 25-105. 17(22) of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 25-105. 17. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times except as may be otherwise provided in the sub-paragraphs following, on the streets of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: (22) South Hazel Avenue on the West side from Lincoln Way to South Fourth Street, and on the East side in front of the entrance to Whittier School for a distance of forty (40) feet. North Hazel Avenue on the west side from Lincoln Way to the intersection with Sixth Street, and on the east side thereof for a distance of fifty (50) feet north of the north right-of-way line of Lincoln Way. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 9th day of July 1963. (� M. W. rdan, City Clerk Pearle P. Voting Aye: Armstrong, Judge, Brouhard, Eschbach, Bledsoe Voting Nay: None Absent: None Moved by Schilletter and seconded by Armstrong Ordinance No. 1081 do now pass.
