ORDINANCE NO. 1080
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF
THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, REPEALING SECTIONS 25-106 A. 1,
25-106 A. 2, 25-106 A. 3, AND 25-106 A. 4 THEREOF; AND PROVIDING FOR
LIMITED PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8 A. M. AND 5 P. M. ON CERTAIN DAYS OF THE
WEEK AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
AMES, IOWA AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Ames, Iowa, be and the same is hereby amended by repealing
Sections 25-106 A. 1, 25-106 A. 2, 25-106 A. 3, and 25-106 A. 4,
and the following be and the same are hereby enacted to be known
as Sections 25-106 A. 1, through 25-106 A. 7 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Ames, Iowa.
25-106 A Limited Parking, certain hours on certain days.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle on the
streets hereinafter designated between the hours of eight
(8) A. M. and five (5) P. M. on the days hereinafter designated.
The City Manager shall have appropriate signs erected on
said streets.
25-106 A. 1 Douglas Avenue. On the East side thereof from
Seventh Street to Eleventh Street on Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday, and on the West side thereof on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday.
25-106 A. 2 Kellogg Avenue. On the East side thereof from
Seventh Street to Thirteenth Street on Tuesday, Thursday
and Saturday, and on the West side thereof on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday.
25-106 A. 3 Burnett Avenue. On the East side thereof from
Sixth Street to Thirteenth Street on Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday, and on the West side thereof on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday.
25- 106 A. 4 Clark Avenue. On the East side thereof from
Seventh Street to Thirteenth Street on Tuesday, Thursday
and Saturday, and on the West side thereof on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday.
25-106 A. 5 Seventh Street. On the North side thereof from
Grand Avenue to Duff Avenue on Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday, and on the South side thereof on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday.
25-106 A. 6 Welch Avenue. On the East side thereof from
Knapp Street to Storm Street on Tuesday, Thursday and
Saturday, and on the West side thereof on Monday, Wednesday
and Friday.
25-106 A. 7 Hunt Street. On the North side thereof from
South Sheldon Avenue to Welch Avenue on Tuesday, Thursday
and Saturday, and on the South side thereof on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday.

Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not ex-
ceeding One Hundred ($100. 00) Dollars, or be imprisoned not
exceeding thirty (30) days.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage and publication as provided by law.

passed on its first reading.

Moved by Judge and seconded by Bledsoe the rules governing the
passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings
e omitted and Ordinance No. 1080 be placed on its final passage.

Voting Nay: None
Absent: None

now pass .

Mayor DeHart declared ordinance No. 1080 duly passed.

certify that Ordinance No. 1080 was duly and properly passed by
the City Council at its meeting on the 17th day of September, 1963
and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the 25th day of Septem-
ber, 1963.
