AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPA
CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (2)
(21)a, (30) AND (48) OF SECTION 25-105. 17 THEREOF; AND DESIGNATING
STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED.

Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. That Subsections (2), (21)a, (30) and (48) of Section
25-105. 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same
are hereby repealed, and the following be and the same are hereby enacted
to be known as Sections 25-105. 17(2), 25-105. 17(21)a, 25-105. 17(30),
25-105. 17(48), 25-105. 17(64), 25-105. 17(65), and 25-105. 17(66) respectively
of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-105. 17 Parking is hereby prohibited at all times,
except as may be otherwise provided in the subparagraphs
following, on the streets of the City of Ames, Iowa, as
follows:
(2) Ash Avenue on the east side from Lincoln Way to
Knapp Street; and on the west side thereof for a distance
of 100 feet south of the south line of Lincoln Way.
(21)a Hayward Avenue on the east side from Knapp
Street to Storm Street; on the east side thereof for a
distance of 100 feet south of the south line of Lincoln
Way; and on the west side thereof for a distance of 22
feet south of the south line of Lincoln Way.
(30) Lincoln Way on both sides from the east corporation
limits to the west corporation limits, provided, however,
a single line of parallel parking will be permitted on the
parking lane on the south side from mid-block between
Sheldon Avenue and Hayward Avenue easterly to Lynn
Avenue, except for a distance of 10 feet west and 5 feet
east of any intersecting street line.
(48) Welch Avenue on the west side from Chamberlain
Street to Knapp Street; on both sides thereof from the
north line of Lincoln Way north 145 feet; on the east side
thereof for a distance of 145 feet south of the south line
of Lincoln Way; and on the west side thereof for a distance
of 22 feet south of the south line of Lincoln Way.
(64) Knoll Road on both sides for a distance of 100 feet
north of the north line of Lincoln Way.
(65) Morrill Road on both sides for a distance of 100
feet north of the north line of Lincoln Way.
(66) Wallace Road on both sides for a distance of 150
feet north of the north line of Lincoln Way.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.

Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after September 1, 1963 and its passage and publication as provided by law.

published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the 13th day of May, 1963.
