ORDINANCE NO. 1050 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 25-35. 2 THEREOF, AND PROHIBITING LEFT TURNS ON CERTAIN STREETS. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That Section 25-35. 2 of the Municipal Code of the City of Hines, Iowa, be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following be and the same are hereby enacted to be known as Sections 25-35. 2, 25-35. 5, 25-35. 6, 25-35. 7, 25-35.8, 25-35. 9, 25-35. 10, and 25-35. 11 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 25-35. 2 All left turns are prohibited for vehicles at the intersection of Kellogg Avenue and Fifth Street. 25-35. 5 All left turns are prohibited for vehicles at the intersection of Kellogg Avenue and Main Street. 25-35.6 Left turns are prohibited for vehicles enter- ing Main Street from the South at the Burnett Avenue intersection. 25-35. 7 Left turns are prohibited for vehicles enter- ing Fifth Street from the South at the Douglas Avenue intersection. 25-35.8 Left turns are prohibited for vehicles enter- ing Douglas Avenue from the East at the Fifth Street intersection. 25-35. 9 Left turns are prohibited for vehicles enter- ing Douglas Avenue from the West at the Main Street intersection. 25-35. 10 Left turns are prohibited for vehicles enter- ing Burnett Avenue from the East at the Fifth Street and Main Street intersections. 25-35. 11 Left turns are prohibited for vehicles enter- ing Fifth Street from the North at the Burnett Avenue intersection. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law, and the placing of signs as authorized by Section 25-35 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames , Iowa.
