HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 52 of Municipal Code (Plumbing) ORDINANCE NO. 1049' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 52 ON PLUMBING OF THE MUNICIPA CODE OF THE CITY OF A.MES, IOWA BY REPEALING SECTION 52-3. 83 THEREOF; AND DEFINING PUBLIC OR PUBLIC USE IN THE CLASSIFICATIO OF PLUMBING FIXTURES. Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 52-3. 83 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following be and the same is hereby enacted to be known as Section 52-3. 83 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 52-3. 83 Public or Public Use. In the classification of plumbing fixtures, public applies to fixtures in general toilet rooms of schools, gymnasiums, hotels, motels, depots, public buildings, taverns, clubs, lodges, fraternities, sororities, gasoline service stations, restaurants, public comfort stations, or places to which the public is invited or which are frequented by the public without special invitation, other installations (whether pay or free) where a number of fixtures are installed so that their use is similarly unrestricted, and all other installations not defined in this chapter as Private or Private Use. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3.
