ORDINANCE NO. 1042
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY
PROVIDING FOR LIMITED PARKING ON CERTAIN STREETS OF THE CITY O
AMES IOWA, BETWEEN THE HOURS OF EIGHT A. M. AND FIVE P. M.
ON CERTAIN DAYS OF THE WEEK AND PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE
VIOLATION THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,
Iowa be and the same is hereby amended by adding the following sections thereto
to be known as Sections 25-106A, 25-106A. 1, 25-106A. 2, 25-106A. 3, and
25-106A. 4 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa
25-106A Limited Parking, Certain Hours on Certain Days.
It shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle an the streets
hereinafter designated between the hours of Eight (8) A. M. and
Five (5) P. M. on the days hereinafter designated. The City
Manager shall have appropriate signs erected on said streets.
25-106A. 1 Eleventh Street. On the North side thereof from
Duff Avenue to Burnett Avenue on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and
on the South side thereof from Maxwell Avenue to Burnett Avenue
on Mondays and Wednesdays.
25-106A. 2 Roosevelt Avenue. On the East side thereof from
Ninth Street to Sixteenth Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays
and on the West side thereof from Thirteenth Street to Sixteenth
Street on Mondays and Wednesdays.
25-106A. 3 South Kellogg Avenue. On the East side thereof from
South Second Street to South Third Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays,
and on the West side thereof from Lincoln Way to South Third Street
on Mondays and Wednesdays.
25-106A. 4 Welch Avenue. On the East side thereof from Chamberlain
Street to Storm Street on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and on the West
side thereof from Knapp Street to Storm Street on Mondays and
Wednesdays.
Section 2. Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of
this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined not exceeding one
hundred ($100. 00) dollars or be imprisoned not exceeding thirty (30) days.
Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.

Mayor DeHart declared Ordinance No. 1042 duly adopted.
I, M. W. Jordan, City Clerk of the City of Ames, Iowa, do hereby
certify that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 1042 was duly
and properly adopted at a meeting of the City Council on the 18th
day of September and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on the
28th day of September, 1962.
