HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Establishing a Building Line on Dayton Avenue ORDINANCE NO ` 1014 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BUILDING LINE ON DAYTON AVENUE IN THE CITY OF .AMES, IOWA. Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. Building Line. A building line is hereby established on the east side of Dayton Avenue from Lincoln Way north to the South line of the right of way of the Chicago and Northwestern Railway Company, parallel to and seventy- five (75) feet east of the centerline of said avenue. Section 2. No Encroaching Construction. No buildings, structures, or additions thereto shall be erected on land lying between said building line and Dayton Avenue. ti Section 3. Penalty. Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon continuation thereof, be fined not exceeding one hundred ($100. 00) Dollars or be imprisoned not exceeding thirty (30) days. Section 4. Repeal. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 14th day of �u + , 1962. M. W. Jor an Clerk Pearle P.
