AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (27)
AND (31) OF SECTION 25-105. 17, AND SECTIONS 25-113. 2 AND 25-114. 2
THEREOF; DESIGNATING STREETS WHERE PARKING IS P1 TT�T'T'L'T'-
PROVIDIIVG Foy,, LIivu-rn > z U STREETS;
AND PROVIDING ADDITIONAL TWELVE (12) AND SIXTY (60) MINUTE
PARKING METER ZONES.
Be It Ordained By the City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. That Subsections (27) and (31) of Section 25-105. 17 of
the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,, Iowa, be and the same are hereby
repealed, and the following enacted to be known as Sections 25-105. 17(27),
25-105. 17(31), and 25-105. 17(39(a), respectively of the Municipal Code of
the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-105. 17. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times, except
as may be otherwise provided in the subparagraphs following,
on the streets of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
(27) Knapp Street on the South side from Ash Avenue
to Stanton Avenue, and from Sheldon Avenue to Welch
Avenue, and on the North side thereof for a distance
of fifty (50) feet east of the east line of Lynn Avenue.
(31) Lynn Avenue on both sides from Lincoln Way to
Knapp Street; on the west side thered from Knapp
Street to Storm Street; and on the east side thereof
for a distance of seventy-five (75) feet south of the
south line of Knapp Street.
(39)(a) South Riverside Avenue on the east side from
Lincoln Way to South Fourth Street.
Section 2. That Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code be and the same is
hereby amended by enacting the following to be known as Sections 25-101(a)
and 25-101(a)l of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25. 101(a). Limited Parking. Ninety (90) Minut es. The parking
of vehicles on all days except Sundays and holidays, between the
hours of eight (8) oiclock A. M. and five (5) oxclock P. M. shall
be limited to ninety (90) minutes on certain streets designated in
this chapter. Signs shall be posted on such streets indicating
said limit.
25-101(a)1. Parking is limited to ninety (90) minutes on the
north side of Second Street from the east line of Oak Avenue
east to the east line of Lot 5, Block 4 in College Park Addition
to Ames, Iowa.

Section 3. That Section 25-113. 2 of Chapter 25 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed and the following
enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 25-113. 2 of the Municipal Code
of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-113. 2 Two (2) parking meter spaces on the east side of
Douglas Avenue immed:L-,tely north of Main Stx®mot-vk2—*3 riave
a maximum parking limit of twelve (12) minutes.
Section 4. That Section 25-114. 2 of the Municipal Code of the City of
Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed and the following enacted in
lieu thereof to be known as Section 25-114. 2 of the Municipal Code of the
City of Ames, Iowa:
25-114. 2. Douglas Avenue from Main Street to Fifth Street,
except two parking meter spaces on the east side immediately
North of Main Street is hereby established as a sixty (60)
minute parking meter zone.
Section 5. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
