HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code (Parking) ORDINANCE NO. 1024 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND ORDINANCE NO. 996 BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (25) and (58) OF SECTION 25-105. 17 THEREOF; AND DESIGNATING STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED. Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Subsections (2 5) and (5 8) of Section 25-105. 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and Ordinance No. 996 be and the same are hereby repealed, and the following enacted to be known as Sections 25-105. 17(2)a, 25-105. 17(25) and 25-105. 17(58), respectively of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa. 25-105. 17 Parking is hereby prohibited at all times, except as may be otherwise provided in the subpara- graphs following, on the streets of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: (2)a Arbor Street on the North side from South Sheldon to South Hyland Avenue between the hours of seven (7) o'clock A. M. and five (5) o'clock P. M. , Monday through Friday except holidays, from September first through June fifteenth of each school year. (25) Hyland Avenue on the West side from Lincoln Way to West Street; and on the East side thereof from West Street to Sheldon Avenue and from one hundred (100) feet South of its intersection with Pammel Drive North to the bridge between Pammel Drive and Ross Road. (58) Tenth Street on the North side from Duff Avenue to Northwestern Avenue; and on the South side thereof for a distance of seventy-five (75) feet in both directions East and West from the intersection of Grand Avenue; and on the South side thereof from fifty (50) feet West of the West line of Marston Avenue extended, to fifty (50) feet East of the East UAel-thereof of Marston Avenue extended, and on the South from the East line of Northwestern Avenue East to a point twenty (20) feet East of the West line of Lot 11, Block 2 of Baird's Addition to the City of Ames. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 17th day of April 1962. M. V Jord ity Clerk Pearle P.
