HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code (Traffic) ORDINANCE NO. 1022 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND ORDINANCE NO. 996 BY RE- PEALING SUBSECTION (47) OF SECTION 2 5-105. 17 THEREOF; AND DESIGNATING STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED. Be It Ordained By The City Council. of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Subsection (47) of Section 25-105. 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and Ordinance No. 996 be and the same is hereby repealed, and the following enacted to be known as Sections 25-105. 17(47), 25-105. 17(46)a; and 25-105. 17(52)a of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 25-1059 17. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times,, except as may be otherwise provded in the subparagraphs following, on the streets in the City of Ames., Iowa, as follow s: (47) Sunset Drive on theSouth side from Ash Avenue to Beach Avenue,, except along the North side of the East 165 feet of Block 7, College Heights Addition; and at the curb forming the island in the intersection of Sunset Drive and Pearson Avenue; and at the curb forming the two islands in the intersection of Sunset Drive and Gray Avenue. (46)a Summit Avenue at the East side from its intersection with Ridgewood Avenue South to a point located 40 feet West of the East property line of Lot 15, Block 2, Ridgewood 2nd Addition. (52)a Wood Street on the North side from Hyland Avenue to State Avenue. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herwtith are hereby repealed Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 3rd day of April 1962. M. V. Jorda C erk Pearle P.
