AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES„ IOWA,; AND ORDINANCE NO. 996 BY
REPEALING SJBSECTION (8) OF SECTION 25-105. 17 THEREOF; AND
DESIGNATING STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA
AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Subsection (8) of Section 25-105. 17
of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa, and Ordinance
No. 996 be arri the same is hereby repealed, and the following
enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 25-105. 17 (8)
of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa:
25-105. 17. Parking is hereby prohibited at all times, except
as may be otherwise provided in the subparagraphs following,
on the streets in the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
(8) Clark Avenue on the west side from Sixth Street to
Seventh Street, and on both sides thereof from Fifth Street
to Sixth Street between the hours of seven (7) o'clock A. M.
and Five (5) o'clock P. M., Monday through Friday except
holidays, from September first through June fifteenth of each
school year, except in taking on or discharging passengers
or freight, and then only for such purpose.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect from and after its passage and publication as provided
by law.

passed on its first reading.

Moved by Bledsoe and seconded by Judge the rules governing the
passage of ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings
be omitted and Ordinance No. 1021 be placed on its final reading.
