HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Sections of Ordinance 937 (Zoning) ORDINANCE # 1017 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42-3(b) AND 42-4 OF ORDINANCE #937 OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY CHANGING CERTAIN "D" DISTRICT (BUSINESS AND LIGHT INDUSTRY) AREAS TO "A" DISTRICTS (RESIDENCE) Be It Ordained By the City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 42-3(b) and Section 42-4 of Ordinance #937 of the City of Ames, Iowa, and the official zoning map therein referred to, are hereby amended so as to change and re-zone from a "D" District (Business and Light Industry) to an "A" District (Residence), the following property: That part of the Northwest quarter of Section 11, Township 83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P. XL , Iowa, described as commencing at a point 30 feet North of the Northeast corner of Lot 1, Clark's Subdivision, Outlot A, Lot 2, Ames, Iowa; thence East along the center line of South Fourth Street 218. 7 feet, thence South 214 feet, thence West 218. 7 feet, thence North 214 feet to the place of beginning. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 3.
