AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 42-3(b) AND 42-4 OF ORDINANCE
#937 OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY CHANGING CERTAIN "D" DISTRICT
(BUSINESS AND LIGHT INDUSTRY) AREAS TO "A" DISTRICTS (RESIDENCE)
Be It Ordained By the City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows:
Section 1. That Section 42-3(b) and Section 42-4 of Ordinance #937
of the City of Ames, Iowa, and the official zoning map therein referred to,
are hereby amended so as to change and re-zone from a "D" District
(Business and Light Industry) to an "A" District (Residence), the following
property:
That part of the Northwest quarter of Section 11, Township
83 North, Range 24 West of the 5th P. XL , Iowa, described
as commencing at a point 30 feet North of the Northeast
corner of Lot 1, Clark's Subdivision, Outlot A, Lot 2, Ames,
Iowa; thence East along the center line of South Fourth Street
218. 7 feet, thence South 214 feet, thence West 218. 7 feet,
thence North 214 feet to the place of beginning.
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and
after its passage and publication as provided by law.
Passed this 2nd day of January, 1962.

passageoof ordinances be suspended, the second and third readings
be omitted and Ordinance No. 1017 be placed on its final passage.

Mayor DeHart declared Ordinance No. 1017 duly adopted.

certifS7 that the above and foregoing Ordinance No. 1017 was duly
and properly passed at a meeting of the City Council on the 2nd
day of January, 1962, and published in the Ames Daily Tribune on
the 12th day of January, 1952.
