HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 20 of Municipal Code (Plumbing) ORDINANCE NO. 1010 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, BY REPEALING SECTION 20-18 THEREOF; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS ENGAGED IN PLUMBING WORK. Be It Ordained By The City Council of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That Section 20-18 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby repealed; and the following enacted in lieu thereof to be known as Section 20-18 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames,, Iowa: 20-18 Penalty. Any person, other than a registered apprentice plumber or one duly authorized under Section 52-4. 2a of this code, who shall engage in or do plumbing work in the City of Ames, without first having obtained a license as herein provided for, shall upon conviction thereof be fined not exceeding one hundred ($100. 00) dollars or be imprisoned not exceeding thirty (30) days. Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions in-conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and publication as provided by law. Passed this 19th day of December , 1961. M. W.
