HomeMy WebLinkAbout~Master - Amending Chapter 25 of Municipal Code (Traffic) ORDINANCE NO. 100 a AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 25 ON TRAFFIC OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF AMES, IOWA, AND ORDINANCE NO. 996 BY REPEALING SUBSECTIONS (28) AND (42) OF SECTION 25-105. 17 THEREOF; AND DESIGNATING STREETS WHERE PARKING IS PROHIBITED, AND DESIGNATING A ONE-WAY ALLEY. Be It Ordained By The City Council of The City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: Section 1. That subsections (28) and (42) of Section 25-105. 17 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa and Ordinance No. 996 be and the same are hereby repealed, and the following enacted to be known as Sections 25-105. 17(28), 25-105. 17(35)a, 25-105. 17(42), and 25-105. 17(45)a of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 25-105. 17 Parking is hereby prohibited at all times, except as may be otherwise provided in the subparagraphs following, on the streets of the City of Ames, Iowa, as follows: ( 8') Lee Street on the south side from Brookridge Avenue to Ridgewood Avenue. (35) a South Oak Avenue from Lincoln Way to South Fourth Street. (42) Sheldon Avenue on the east side from Lincoln Way to Hyland Avenue, and on both sides of South Sheldon Avenue from Lincoln Way to the South line of Arbor Street. (45)a State Avenue on the east side from Lincoln Way to the South corporate limits. Section 2. That Section 25-38 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa be and the same is hereby amended by adding and enacting the following to be known as Section 25-38. 8 of the Municipal Code of the City of Ames, Iowa: 25-38. 8. The alley immediately south of Lincoln Way and running east from Hayward Avenue is hereby designated "one-way" and it shall be unlawful to travel the same except from West to East. Section 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed. Section 4.
