pared and furnished from the sitcvev made by -
Prof. A. Marsteu, and now on file with the, --

Sec. —Said sewer shall be constructed with
18 inch vitrified sewer pipe.double strength.
- Sec.3—AIL work and labor rerforrned up,n - - -
the constru�tion of said sewer shall be under t
the control of the street and alley committee,
and all material purchased or received for th
l,urpose of being applied to the coustruction
of said sewer,shall be accepted subject to the
inspection and approval of the street and al-
ai ley committee:said street and alley commit-
tee shall make or cause to be made by the
L contractor in charge, a report to the city
council at each meeting during the progress

of the work on said sewer,the quantity of til-
ing and other material used,and the amount �'f
expended,or to be<xpended therefor.
Sec.4—The cost of the construction of said
sewer,and of all tiling and all other material t
necessary thereto,shall be defr+yed out of the
general fund of the city. But no money n•il l
be advanced,or paid to the contractor, until
said sewer is completed, approved by street
i and alley committee, and formally accepted
t by the city council. 7 "'
.j Sec.5 Shoiild the amount in the general
t
fund of the city be insufficient to defray the -
entire cost of the construction of said sewer, - -' -" --
at the time such cost shall become clue,a tem-
porary loan may be made.of a sum,which,to- I
gether with the amount then on hand in the f"
general fund,will be sufficient to liquidate
such entire cost: which loan, when so made, { -�
shall be covered by a city warrant hearing 6
per cent interest.
Sec.6—Tais±rdinance shall take effect ini-
i mediately of er the publication thereof.
