hereby certify the following to be a true and correct abstract of the votes cast in this County at the City of Ames Ward 4
Runoff Election held on the 3rd day of December, 2019, as shown by the tally lists returned from the election precincts.

Rachel Junck Received seven hundred twenty-three (723) votes
Chris Nelson Received five hundred eighty-nine (589) votes
Candidate Total One thousand three hundred twelve (1312) votes

TOTAL One thousand three hundred thirteen (1313) votes
We therefore declare:
Rachel Junck duly elected for the office of Council Member Ward 4, City of Ames (2019) for the term of 4 years.

RESOLUTION 20-45— CERTIFICATION (CANVASS) OF ELECTION RESULTS,
CITY OF AMES RUNOFF ELECTION
WHEREAS, the CITY OF AMES RUNOFF ELECTION was held as prescribed by law on December 3, 2019,
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors and ex-officio Board of Canvassers have canvassed the vote of said
election(s)in accordance with§50.24 of the Code of Iowa, now therefore
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that we, the undersigned members of the Board of Supervisors and ex-officio
Board of Canvassers of Story County, Iowa, do hereby certify the following TURNOUT REPORT and
RESULTS in the CITY OF AMES RUNOFF ELECTION, held December 3, 2019, and that no obvious
clerical errors were identified during the canvass.
One thousand forty-two (1,042) people voted at the polls on election day.
Two hundred sixty-seven(267) absentee ballots were accepted for counting.
Four (4)provisional ballots were accepted for counting.
A total of one thousand three hundred thirteen (1,313)people voted.
All races are for a term of four(4)years unless otherwise noted.
