This bill, totaling $23,532.33, covers all aspects of the election from the publication of the sample ballot to paying the election officials. We use the following method to divide the cost of the election between our two entities. The total cost of the election was $23,532.33. There was a total of four Mayor/City Council races and three MGMC races. The total cost of the election was divided by seven to ascertain the cost per race. That number was then multiplied by three for MGMC, which totals $10,085.28. I have requested that our Finance Department forward payment for the City's portion of this bill directly to the Story County Auditor and request that the Medical Center do likewise.
