Our reasons: • Southwest Ames has no public pool. Central Ames already has one,the High School Municipal Pool, and does not need a second pool less than 1/41h mile away on 13th St. • Building a pool at the Middle School site would cost $500,000 less than at the 13th Street site, which is in a floodplain fringe. • The Middle School site is big enough to allow future additions, such as a new community weight room and gym, while the 131h Street site is not.
