We,the undersigned Members of the Board of Supervisors,and ex-officio Board of County Canvassers,for Story
County,hereby certify the following to be a true and correct abstract of the votes cast in this county at the Ames Regular
City Election held on the 8th day of November ,2005 ,as shown by the tally lists returned from the several election
precincts.
For the office of Mayor there were Six thousand five hundred eighteen 6518 votes cast as
follows:
Ann H. Campbell received five thousand two hundred forty-eight 5248 votes.
Jon Shelness received one thousand one hundred seventy-nine 1179 votes.
Scattering received ninety-one 91 votes.
e therefore declare Arui H. Campbell duly elected to the office of Mayor for the term of 4 years .
For the office of Council Member Ward i there were one thousand seven hundred thirty-nine 1.739 votes
cast as follows:
Dan Rice received one thousand eleven 1,011 votes.
Robin Habe er received seven hundred twenty-three 723 votes.
ScatterinR received five 5 votes.
We therefore declare Dan Rice duly elected to the office of Council Member Ward i for the term of 4 years .
For the office of Council Member Ward 3 there were one thousand two hundred ninety-three , 1,293 votes
cast as follows:
Ryan F. Doll received six hundred thirty-two 632 votes.
Da le Vegge received five hundred fifty-five 555 votes.
Jeremy N. Davis received one hundred three 103 votes.
Scatterimz received three 3 votes.
Ryan F. Doll and Dar le Vegge will advance to a run-off election on December 6,2005.
For the office of Council Member At Large there were six thousand five hundred ninety-four , 6,594
votes cast as follows:
Jim Po ken received three thousand seven hundred seventy-five 3,775 votes.
Russ Cross received two thousand seven hundred eighty-five 2,785 votes.
Scattering received thirty-four 34 votes.
We therefore declare Jim Popken duly elected to the office of Council Member At Large for the tenn of 4 years.
For the office of Hospital Board Trustees there were eight thousand eight hundred sixty-eight ,8,868
votes cast as follows:
Mary Kitchell received four thousand eight hundred thirty-five 4,835 votes.
Emil A. Peterson received three thousand nine hundred nineteen 3,919 votes.
Scattering received one hundred fourteen , 114 votes.
We therefore declare Mary Kitchell and Emil A. Peterson duly elected to the office of Hospital Board Trustees for the
term of 4 years .
