HomeMy WebLinkAboutA001 - Abstract of Votes for Run Off Election - At Large ABSTRACT OF VOTES Story County, Iowa We,the undersigned Members of the Board of Supervisors,and ex-officio Board of County Canvassers, for Story County,hereby certify the following to be a true and correct abstract of the votes cast in this county at the Ames Regular City Run Off Election held on the 2nd day of December ,2003 ,as shown by the tally list returned from the election precinct. For the office of Council Member At Large there were three thousand nine hundred nine, 3909 votes cast as follows: Matthew Goodman received Two thousand three hundred ninety-seven 2397 votes. Mary Ann Lundy received One thousand five hundred three 1503 votes. Scattering, received Nine 9 votes. We therefore declare Matthew Goodman duly elected to the office of Council Member At Large for the term of 4 years IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF,We have set our hands and caused this to be attested by the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors,with the seal of this County. Wayne E. Clinton, Donald L. Toms and Jane E. Halliburton present with Chairperson Clinton presiding. Deputy Auditor Dani Dunham announced there were 6 special ballots; 0 counted and 6 rejected per Iowa Code Section 48A.9 because voters were not registered in Story County before the close of voter registration deadline of November 21, 2003. Chairperson Clinton read the results of the election. Toms moved, Halliburton seconded to declare the canvass complete and certify the results of the election to the proper jurisdiction(on file at the auditor's office.) Motion carried unanimously(MCU). Halliburton moved, Toms seconded to adjourn at_9:03 a.m. MCU.
