Mayor Ted Tedesco
City of Ames
515 Clark Avenue
Ames, IA 50010
Dear Mayor Tedesco:
I would like to be considered for appointment to the 4th ward council seat being vacated
by Herman Quirmbach. Serving in this position would let me give back to a city that has
been a wonderful home for my family and myself since 1969.
Enclosed is a resume that details my education, work experience, and community service.
You will see that 1 have not only had a wide variety of work experiences, but also have
diverse experiences in community service.
I feel that my experience in accounting and budgeting would be especially useful in the
upcoming year because of the tight budget. My experience on a city commission has
given me an appreciation for the way city government works for its citizens. I have
watched with interest as the city developed a land use plan and also am familiar with the
current transportation plan. Because I have worked in the business and academic fields
and with the Chamber of Commerce and Ames School District, I have cooperated with
many of the diverse groups of citizens of the city and feel that I could play a role in
consensus building when needed.
If you need any additional information, please feel free to call me(292-5255)or contact
me by e-mail (mplundy4gwest.net).
I appreciate your consideration of me for this position.
Sincerely,
Mary Ann Lundy
