Story County,Iowa
We,the undersigned Members of the Board of Supervisors,and ex-officio Board of County Canvassers,for
Story County,hereby certify the following to be a true and correct abstract of the votes cast in this county at the Ames
City Special Election held on the 31 st day of March , 1998 ,as shown by the tally lists returned from the several
election precincts.
Upon the public measure Shall the City of Ames in Story County,Iowa issue its bonds in an amount not exceeding the
amount of$1 700 000 for the purpose of paving the cost to that extent,of constructing and equipping a recreation
buildinia consisting_of a single surface ice skatingf acili1y in and for the city? there were
three thousand nine hundred ninety , 1990 votes cast,as follows:
FOR the question there were three thousand three hundred nine , 3309 votes cast.
AGAINST the question there were six hundred eighty-one , 681 votes cast.
We therefore declare the public measure Shall the City of Ames in Story County Iowa issue its bonds in an
amount not exceedingthe amount of$1 700 000 for the]2=ose of pgvin&the cost to that extent.of constructing and
equipping,a recreation building consisting of a single surface ice skating facility in and for the city?
to be adopted.
