LEGAL NOTICE
Notice is hereby given to all residents of Story County that a
special question will be submitted to the voters on the 'November
4, 1986, general election ballot.
Voters will be asked to vote on the following proposition:
Shall the following measure be adopted?
Summary: To authorize imposition of a local sales and
services tax in the unincorporated area of the county of
Story and in the cities of Ames, Cambridge, Collins, Colo,
Gilbert, Huxley, Kelley, McCallsburg, Maxwell, Nevada,
Roland, Sheldahl, Slater, Story City and Zearing at the
rate of one percent (1%) to be effective on January 1, 1987 .
The allocation of revenues raised by this 1% sales and services
tax will be determined by each governmental Jurisdiction and
