The meeting was called to order and there were present F. Paul Goodland Mayor, in the chair, and the following named Council Members: Atherly, Curtis Hammer Parks Shank Thurston Absent: None Special Meeting, signed by- all members of the Council : ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING We , the undersigned, being all the members o e Council , do acknowle-dge due , timely and legal receipt of ice of Special Meeting for the called purpose of considering al tters pertaining to setting a date for an election on a bond pro ition, and- for the consideration of such other business as may co efore the meeting and do hereby consent that the meeting be d. -1- BEGIN, HARRIS, HELMICK S HEARTNEY, LAWYERS, DES MOINES, IOWA L The Council took up and considered the proposed Swimming Pool Project. Council Member Hammer introduced Resolution No.. 82-161 y entitled: "Resolution calling an election on the proposition of issuing general obligation bonds for the purpose of renovating Carr's Swimming Pool and constructing a bathhouse, and constructing a fifty- meter swimming pool and a bathhouse at the old Golf and County Club" , and moved its adoption, seconded by Council Member Thurston After due consideration of the resolution by the Council , the Mayor put the question upon the motion and the roll being called, the following named Council Members voted: Ayes: Atherly, .Curtis, Hammer, Shank, Thurston Nays: Parks Whereupon, the Mayor declared the motion duly carried and the resolution adopted.
