RESOLUTION NO. 80-364 A RESOLUTION CALLING A SPECIAL ELECTION TO AU1710RIZE C11 BAN GI N G THE TLRM OF THE OFFICE OF MAYOR FROM TWO YEARS TO FOUR YEARS. WHEREAS, a valid petition as defined by Section 362.4 Code of Iowa was received this day, September 9, 1980 by the Ames City Council re- questing that the term of the office of Mayor be changed from two years i. to four years effective at the beginning of the term following the next regular city election; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council for the City of Ames, Iowa that pursuant to the provisions of Section 376.2 Code of Iowa and other applicable laws of the State, a special election shall be and is hereby called, to be held concurrent with the general election` on November 4, 1980 at which election there shall be submitted to the qualifii.d electors of said municipality the following question, to wit: Shall the following public measure be adopted?
