This is yet another case of the details being handled by a property-acquisition agent, who is providing the easement documents after the details have been negotiated. I just called the agent, and she is out of state and unavailable. I also called the property management contact at IDOT to see if the easement offer document and check should be sent to her or to the State Land Office- but she is also out of the office today. I thought I would ask you in case you had already talked about it with Lyndon. 1. It appears from the Offer to Buy that I send it to the IDOT with a check. Do you know to whom it should be sent? It will take several months for IDOT's legal department to review and have the governor sign off. However, they will allow the buyer to access the area as soon as they receive the money.
