UNITARIAN FELLOWSHIP
THIS AGREEMENT is entered into this 25th day of August, 1989 by and between
the City of Ames, Iowa and the Unitarian Fellowship of Ames, Iowa.
A. The Unitarian Fellowship is the owner of the property described as:
"Lots 2 and 3, Reddy' s Subdivision, and a 48 foot strip in
Lot 1 West of Lots 2, 3, and 4 of Reddy' s Subdivision in
Ames, Story County, Iowa. "
B. The Unitarian Fellowship is also the owner of land described as:
"Lot 4, Ruedenberg' s Subdivision, Ames, Story County, Iowa. "
C. The land described in "A" above is the site of the Unitarian
Fellowship building and motor vehicle parking spaces for the, users
of that building.
D. The Unitarian Fellowship wishes to obtain and the City of Ames
wishes to grant a zoning and building permit for an addition to the
said building but additional motor vehicle parking spaces will be
required under the applicable zoning ordinance, which spaces t e
Unitarian Fellowship intends to establish and maintain on the lan
described in "B" above.
E. Section 29.42(2) of the Ames Municipal Code provides that in any
case where the required parking spaces are not located on the same
lot with the building or use served a written agreement assuring
their retention shall be made.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the forgoing, the parties agree that:
1. The land described in "B" above shall be retained in ownership by the
Unitarian Fellowship and the Unitarian Fellowship shall cause it to be used
and maintained as a motor vehicle parking lot for persons visiting the Uni-
tarian Fellowship building that is located on the land described in "A".
2. The provision of paragraph 1 above shall be released if alternative
arrangements for parking spaces are made elsewhere within three hundred (300)
feet of the said Unitarian Fellowship building on terms approved by the Ames
City Council or if the parking spaces are no longer required under the ordi-
nances of the City of Ames.

and for the State of Iowa, Ljpersonally appeared F. Paul Goodland and Nancy
Dionigi , to me personally known, and, who being by me duly sworn, did say
that they are the Mayor and City Clerk, respectively, of the City of Ames,
Iowa; that the seal affixed to the foregoing instrument is the corporate seal
of the corporation, and that the instrument was signed and sealed on behalf
of the corporation, by authority of its City Council , as contained in Resolu-
tion No. adopted by the City Council on the g2"L� day of
1989, and that F. Paul Goodland and Nancy Dionigi acknowl-
edgecV the execution of the instrument to be their voluntary act and deed and
the voluntary act and deed of the corporation, by it voluntarily executed.

ally known, who being by me duly sworn, did say that she is President of said
corporation, that the seal affixed to said instrument is the seal of said
corporation, or no seal has been procured by the said corporation, and that
said instrument was signed and sealed on behalf of said corporation by au-
thority of its board of directors and the said Trish Jacobson acknowledged
the execution of said instrument to be the voluntary act and deed of said
corporation by it voluntarily executed.
