PERMANENT TRAFFIC SIGNAL EASEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That I/we, W. Dorian Stripling and Katherine Anne Svec
, do(es)hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal
corporation its successors and assigns,including any public utility designated by the City,the
perpetual right to enter upon the land described and the perpetual right to construct,reconstruct,
repair, maintain, and use underground electrical lines,telephone lines,wires, cables, and other
equipment on any part thereof for the purposes of conveying electrical current for power and
lighting purposes,traffic signalization and for communicative transmissions, on the land at 603
Grand Avenue,Ames, Iowa, described as follows:
DESCRIPTION OF PERMANENT EASEMENT
Beginning at the point where the Westerly right-of-way line of Grand Avenue intersects the
Southerly line of Lot 5 of Mecaskey's Subdivision of Block 21, College Park Addition, City of
Ames, Story County, Iowa,being 13.50 feet Westerly of the Southeast Corner of said Lot;thence
S89°19'29"W, 16.00 feet along said Southerly line;thence N00°40'31"W, 1.00 feet; thence
N78°00'53"E, 6.12 feet;thence N44°55'15"E, 21.72 feet to a point on said right-of-way line;
thence S00°36'38"E, 12.10 feet along said right-of-way line;thence S45°25'01"W, 7.64 feet
along said right-of-way line to the Point of Beginning.
See attached plat marked and made a part hereof.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the City of Ames; Iowa, will
assume all liability for all damages to the above described property caused by the City's failure to
use due care in its exercise of the rights granted.
The City is also granted a temporary easement as necessary for tree removal. This temporary
easement will terminate upon completion of the traffic signalization project.
