GENERAL UTILITY EASEMENT
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
That (I/we) Alexander, L.C. (do/does) hereby grant unto the City of Ames, Iowa, a municipal
corporation its successors and assigns and City of Ames franchised utilities, the perpetual right
to enter upon the land described and the perpetual right to construct, reconstruct, clean up,
operate, maintain, and cover over and repair franchised utilities upon, under, and across the land
described as follows:
DESCRIPTION:
A 20.00 foot wide strip of land across Lot 4 of the Ames Community Industrial Park Subdivision,
Ames,Story County Iowa,being situated 20.00 feet North of the South lot line described as follows:
Commencing at the Southeast corner of said Lot 4;thence 280.00 feet West along the South line of
said Lot 4 to the East line of a Storm Water Storage Easement;thence 20.00 feet North along said
East line of a Storm Water Storage Easement;*.hence 280.00 feet East along a line parallel to the
South line of said Lot 4 to the East line of said Lot 4 and there terminating.
The foregoing rights are granted upon the express condition that the City of Ames, Iowa, and City
of Ames franchised utilities will assume all liability for all damages to the above described
property caused by the City's failure to use due care in its exercise of the rights granted.
